Cobec Engineering tendered this project on a select list basis and were subsequently appointed the electrical & ICT Installation contract.
This was a fast track new TV building with a 54,000 sq ft. studio. This stands as the biggest purpose built HD TV studio in Ireland and is of the highest specification when it comes to the flexibility of facilities and the equipment installed. Completed over a twelve week programme it was handed over on time, snag free and was verified and demonstrated to TV3’s technical department.
Scope of Works
The electrical scope of works consisted of the following:
- LV distribution
- Lighting and emergency lighting installation
- Lighting controls installation
- General services and power installation
- Specialist studio electrical supplies
- Fire alarm installation
- Security installation
- ICT installation
- Mechanical plant, BMS controls wiring installation
- Tested, commissioned, validated and demonstrated
